Flaminio District

On the 10th February 1909 the Town council approved the new city plan by Edmondo Sanjust Teulada, whose purpose was to move the city defenses over the trenched field bunkers: after the first 1906 studies, in 1912 it was proposed to a system of far strong points that for Flaminia and Cassia Road- the most important accesses from North- had to be positioned at the same height of Bracciano Lake.

Olympic Theatre

Orson Welles once said that the Olympic Theatre was the only place in Rome that reminded him about the atmosphere of Brodway's theatres. In an age when also in Italy different forms of show are less and less fixed in a rigorous gender classification, the Olympic Theatre has become the ideal container for various and stimulating shows, and it is considered to be the only theatre able to offer, in Rome, a big range of choices, ample and at the same time representative: from chamber music to the presentation of orchestras tours; from ballet dancing to the most expressive contemporary choreography; from classical songs to prose shows; from new forms of musical to operetta.

Auditorium Music Park Rome

The Auditorium has been opened on the 21st of April 2002with an extraordinary musical kermis. From 2003 the Auditorium ( Music Park ) has become the center of the Santa Cecilia National Academy. Realized according to Renzo Piano's project, the Auditorium represents the most important urban, cultural and social event realized in Rome after the sixties. It is also the biggest artistic unit of this kind in Europe .

Rai Saxa Rubra

The Rai center situated in Saxa Rubra is located in the northern periphery and it spreads over 14 hectares . Opened on the occasion of the 1990 World Cup, today it houses all the journalistic radios and televisions: TG1, TG2, TG3, the regional newspaper, the sport newspaper, Rai International, Rai Radio News, Televideo, and the Direction Tribune e Access.

Galleria Borghese

Il nucleo più importante delle sculture e delle pitture nella Galleria Borghese risale al collezionismo del cardinale Scipione (1579-1633), figlio di Ortensia Borghese, sorella del Papa Paolo V, e di Francesco Caffarelli, ma gli eventi dei tre secoli successivi, tra perdite e acquisti, hanno lasciato notevoli tracce.

Vatican

The Basilica of Saint Peter is situated in City of Vatican, residence of popes since 1377.
The present church is situated on the ruins of the ancient early Christian church dedicated to Peter, where the Apostle's tomb is situated.

Olympic Stadium

The original core of the Olympic Stadium has been built during the Thirties. It has been renovated in 1953 on the occasion of the Rome Olympic Games in 1960. The last renovation has been made for the Football World Cup in 1990. Nowadays the stadium has 82.656 seats: 23.473 the North Curve, 23.473 the South Curve, 17.745 Monte Mario Tribune, 17.965 Tevere Tribune. The Stadium has been realized paying a particular attention to sports like football and athletics.

Flaminio Stadium

The new Flaminio Stadium is located in the area used to be the one of the Turin Stadium, known for his strict architectonical style and for its classical design.
Built in 1911 it has been rebuilt in 1927, because it was considered too old-fashioned from a technical point of view and inadequate because of the damages caused by the time.

Farnesina

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is situated in Rome since 1871, when Florence left the place of capital of the Kingdom of Italy to the city. From then on the Ministery has been housed in the Palace of Council (from 1871 to 1922), Chigi palace (from 1923 to 1959) and the actual building from 1959.
The project of Farnesina, by the architects Del Debbio, Foschini and Morpurgo, had been planned in 1935, during the planning of the area calle "Orti della Farnesina", situated between Monte Mario and Tevere River.

Foro Italico

The father of Foro Italico - at the origin called Foro Mussolini - is Renato Ricci.
Undersecretary to the National Education and founder of the Opera Nazionale Balilla.
While it was being designed, three locations were rejected: the one of the University, Casal Palocco and the area of Villaggio Olimpico. The area that was finally chosen was along the Tevere River and it needed to be drained before becoming the location for the project.

Gran Teatro

The tensilstructure, prepared in Viale Tor di Quinto, has been created in Jenuary 2002 in Roma and it disposes of the best technology solutions.
The capacity of 3040 seats, the quality of service offered and various typology of spaces make the staging of shows better with huge technical productions and events like conventions, meetings, lectures, sport events, presentations and openings.
