Flaminio District
On the 10th February 1909 the Town council approved the new city plan by Edmondo Sanjust Teulada, whose purpose was to move the city defenses over the trenched field bunkers: after the first 1906 studies, in 1912 it was proposed to a system of far strong points that for Flaminia and Cassia Road- the most important accesses from North- had to be positioned at the same height of Bracciano Lake.

Auditorium Music Park Rome

Olympic Stadium
The original core of the Olympic Stadium has been built during the Thirties. It has been renovated in 1953 on the occasion of the Rome Olympic Games in 1960. The last renovation has been made for the Football World Cup in 1990.
Nowadays the stadium has 82.656 seats: 23.473 the North Curve, 23.473 the South Curve, 17.745 Monte Mario Tribune, 17.965 Tevere Tribune.
The Stadium has been realized paying a particular attention to sports like football and athletics. |

Flaminio Stadium
The new Flaminio Stadium is located in the area used to be the one of the Turin Stadium, known for his strict architectonical style and for its classical design.
Built in 1911 it has been rebuilt in 1927, because it was considered too old-fashioned from a technical point of view and inadequate because of the damages caused by the time.

Farnesina
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is situated in Rome since 1871, when Florence left the place of capital of the Kingdom of Italy to the city. From then on the Ministery has been housed in the Palace of Council (from 1871 to 1922), Chigi palace (from 1923 to 1959) and the actual building from 1959.
The project of Farnesina, by the architects Del Debbio, Foschini and Morpurgo, had been planned in 1935, during the planning of the area calle "Orti della Farnesina", situated between Monte Mario and Tevere River. |

The father of Foro Italico - at the origin called Foro Mussolini - is Renato Ricci.
Undersecretary to the National Education and founder of the Opera Nazionale Balilla.
While it was being designed, three locations were rejected: the one of the University, Casal Palocco and the area of Villaggio Olimpico. The area that was finally chosen was along the Tevere River and it needed to be drained before becoming the location for the project. |
